This apparatus demonstrate the laminar and turbulent flow visualization. A header contains stilling media provides a constant head of water through a bell mouth entry to the flow visualization pipe. Flow through this pipe is regulated using a contains valve at the discharge end.

Dye injection to that of Reynold’s apparatus to enable the condition of flow visualization dye solution is admitted to the test section through a fine diameter stainless steel tube and rate of flow of dye is controlled by a needle valve on the outlet of the dye reservoir the flow rate of water through the pipe can be measured using the Hydraulic Bench velocity of water can therefore be determined to allow contestation of Reynolds number.
