Specifications

  • Basic module for flow-related experiments using auxiliary modules.
  • Mobile construction with welded frame.
  • Closed water circuit with tank and pump.
  • Workspace fitted with the stepped edge, 20mm, to ensure safe mounting of experimental modules.
  • Measuring tank with Lever-based loadcell mechanism optionally load cells with digital display.
  • Workspace with integrated flow channel for experiments on weirs.

The gravimetric Hydraulic Bench is used for a wide range of experiments on fluid mechanics. To ensure a safe stand of the experimental set-ups, the workspace is provided with a stepped edge. The first part of the workspace is in form of a flow channel. Therefore, experiments with weirs are possible. The collecting tank is used for a gravimetric flow rate measurement. A measuring tank is placed below the collecting tank.

The weight of the measuring tank is measured by the weighted lever arm mechanism or optionally with the Digital Loadcell-based measurement fittings at the switch box. The workspace including the measuring tank and supply tank is made of reinforced fiberglass. Piping is made of PVC. The components are corrosion-free, shock-resistant difficult to deform. The supply tank includes a pump. The bench is independent of a water supply because of the closed water circuit.
