Basic investigations in the field of refrigeration are made possible by the Domestic Refrigeration Trainer. The trainer has an evaporator, a capillary type expansion device, a condenser with fan, a closed refrigeration circuit with compressor, and a door for the refrigerated chamber. An even distribution of temperature is made possible by a fan in the refrigeration chamber. The refrigeration chamber’s heater simulates a cooling load. For the compressor’s delivery and intake sides, the circuit has a pressure switch. Gauges and sensors are used to measure all relevant measured values. The measured values are displayed on digital displays. The user has the ability to record the measured values in a data recording software (optional), allowing for easy analysis and the representation of the process in the p-h diagram. The software also shows important process data, such as the refrigeration capacity and the performance coefficient (optional). The well-structured instructional material sets out the fundamentals and provides a step-by-step guide through the experiments.
