The apparatus features a single independent lysimeter, allowing the user to conduct
practical activities. An inclined-tube manometer is used to monitor water gains or losses in the soil under observation. The lysimeter comprises a square-based tank with an internal hydraulic system connected to flexible PU tube which is fitted in the graduated inclined scale, enabling users to measure changes in water levels.
The hydraulic system includes a vessel that can be filled with soil and vegetation for
evapotranspiration analysis. The vessel can be covered from the top to minimize water evaporation, allowing for the exclusive study of transpiration. The hydraulic system is equipped with a water diaphragm tank and a pipe for filling, which helps transfer the pressure exerted on the diaphragm tank by the weight of the vessel. Additionally, the unit is provided with calibration weights to adjust the Manometric tube based on changes in the hydraulic system’s weight. The height of the manometer can be adjusted for better readings.

Specification
- The frame is constructed from anodized aluminum, while the panels are fabricated from Bakelite and PVC and finished with a coat of paint.
- The unit comes equipped with adjustable feet, allowing for easy tilting to the desired angle.
- A recipient with square bases and PVC disk to support planters and pots filled with soil.
- A graded water column is coupled to hydraulic sensing device which is housed in square base recipient.
- A graduated water column, positioned on the front panel above the lysimeter (graduated Manometric tube).
- A container with a diameter of about 300 mm.
- That container can be set on a hydraulically attached plate that tracks weight changes in the system caused by evapotranspiration.
- Set of calibration weights (two of 2.5 Kg, one of 0.5 Kg, two of 200 g and two of 100 g).
- The apparatus features an adjustable inclination, for Manometric tube, ranging from 0 to 30 degrees and a measurement scale of 0 to 290 mm.
- The graduated water column is adjustable as it can be moved up and down.
- A bull’s eye is attached to verify the inclination
